Abstract
This research aims to reveal the elements of change and transformation to be made together with the European Higher Education Area in the context of the adaptation process, in the context of the views of students and teaching staff. It has been tried to determine how these changes and transformations affect the real areas of conservatory education, the positive and negative aspects of these influences, and the points that conservator education should consider when adapting to the European Higher Education Area. The study is a qualitative and descriptive research, in which the data and views contained in the documents emerging from the process of adaptation to the European Higher Education Area were thematically assembled and arranged. Semi-structured interview form prepared in theoretical and conceptual framework and discussed with a working group of 15 students and 15 lecturers. The results of the interviews were analyzed within the framework of the themes and categories and the results were evaluated and interpreted in the context of the educational activities of the conservatories. As a result of the research, the effects of the European higher education policies on the educational activities of the conservatories were tried to be revealed and at the same time the positive and negative aspects of the process were discussed.
